Site Work....

I've been heads down on the Game Shelf side of my site for a while now, and I think it's finally at a point where I want to just show it off instead of quietly tinkering. For anyone who hasn't seen it, and there are only a few that have, it started as a simple thing. Every board game I own, every session I've logged, honest reviews as I write them, all in one place so I'd actually have an accurate record instead of trusting my memory, which is not something I trust with much these days. It's grown into something I'm genuinely proud of. A few of the newer pieces: There's a Concierge now, which sounds fancier than it is. You type something like "two players, under thirty minutes, not too heavy" and it actually reasons through my real shelf and picks one specific game, with a reason, instead of just filtering a list. I built it mostly out of curiosity about whether it would feel useful or gimmicky, and it's landed on useful. If you've ever wanted to see how your collection stacks up against someone else's, there's a Compare Collections tool now too. Drop in a BoardGameGeek username and it'll show you the overlap, what you both own, and what they've got that you don't. Half the fun of this hobby is comparing shelves with people, so it felt wrong not to build that in. I also added a Wrapped recap, the Spotify-style year in review but for board games. Most played game, win rate, the works, ending on a little card you can screenshot. I have no idea yet if my win rate this year is something I want to know, but I built the feature anyway. And there's now a way to log a game I played but don't own, which sounds small but was actually the thing that had been bugging me most. Game night doesn't only happen at my table, and the tracker was pretending otherwise until now. There's more under the hood too. A redesigned "Pick a Game for Tonight" spinner that actually feels like a spinner now. Achievements. A running Games In/Out ledger for the buying and selling side of the hobby, which is its own kind of honesty I wasn't sure I wanted until I had it. None of this needed to exist. That's kind of the point of the whole thing. If you want to poke around, I had the intention to have a link here, but now I think I want to look over some things prior to that... Stay tuned.

About this shelf

Hi, I'm Norman — this is my personal board game collection tracker: every game I own, every session I've logged, and honest reviews as I write them. I built it to keep an accurate record for myself, and to give other hobbyists something real to compare notes against.
